Big Blue® Filter Bags for Aquaculture and Aquariology

Big Blue® filter bags are designed to provide efficient mechanical filtration for water used in aquaculture, aquariology, hatcheries, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), fish farming tanks, and public aquariums. Installed inside Big Blue® bag filter housings, they efficiently remove suspended solids, protecting pumps, UV sterilizers, heat exchangers, and other hydraulic equipment.

Manufactured from polypropylene felt, they offer excellent resistance to both fresh and seawater, as well as to most commonly used water treatment chemicals. Their welded construction ensures uniform filtration without fiber release while providing a high dirt-holding capacity, reducing maintenance frequency.

Available in filtration ratings ranging from 1 to 200 microns, they are suitable for applications from fine pre-filtration to the protection of sensitive equipment.
