Cisterns

Cisterns for aquaculture

Tanks used in aquaculture play a key role in sustainable water management. Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyester, they offer excellent resistance to UV rays, chemicals, and temperature variations. Their robustness allows for the storage of large volumes of water, whether fresh, seawater, or rainwater.

These tanks are equipped with a sealed lid to prevent water contamination, as well as a drain tap to facilitate cleaning or water transfer. Some models are mounted on pallets with a metal frame for easier transport and storage.

In aquaculture, tanks serve multiple purposes:

  • storing water for fish or shellfish farming,

  • collecting rainwater for later use,

  • thermal regulation or species quarantine,

  • preparation of nutrient solutions or treatments.

Using these tanks improves the efficiency of aquaculture farms while reducing their environmental impact.

AQUACULTURE France offers a wide range of fixed or mobile tanks, with volumes ranging from a few hundred litres up to 18 m³.
