Fish pumps

Fish pumps for aquaculture

A fish pump is a device designed to gently transfer live fish from one tank to another, or to grading systems, transport trucks, or processing units, minimizing stress and physical damage. It is essential in intensive or semi-intensive aquaculture operations.

Technical Features

  • Operation: suction and discharge system, usually via Venturi effect or specially adapted centrifugal pump

  • Flow rate: varies by model, typically between 50 and 500 m³/h

  • Fish size: suitable for both fry and market-size fish (e.g. salmon, trout, seabass, seabream)

  • Discharge height: up to several meters depending on setup

  • Controls: often equipped with variable speed drives for flow adjustment

Advantages

  • Gentle handling: reduces injuries, scale loss, and stress

  • High efficiency: handles large volumes quickly

  • Easy integration: fits into existing farming systems

  • Compatible with automatic sorting and weighing systems Available Options

  • Materials resistant to saltwater (stainless steel, technical plastics)

  • Remote control / automation

  • Water lubrication systems to reduce friction

  • Loading/unloading hoppers
