The Big Blue bag filter is a high-capacity water filtration system commonly used in domestic, agricultural, or industrial settings to treat large water flows. It uses a flexible filter bag (made of synthetic fabric or felt) placed inside a Big Blue-type housing (typically reinforced plastic). It is designed to retain solid particles present in water (sand, silt, rust, suspended matter, etc.).
Filter housing: usually made of polypropylene, Big Blue format (10" or 20", often 1" or 1½" inlet/outlet).
Filter bag: replaceable, with various filtration ratings (1 to 200 microns).
Flow rate: suitable for 3 to 15 m³/h depending on size and filtration threshold.
Operating pressure: between 3 and 7 bar.
Max temperature: between 40°C and 60°C depending on the model.
High dirt holding capacity (greater than standard cartridges).
Easy maintenance: quick bag replacement.
Cost-effective for large volumes over time.
Efficient filtration before treatment systems (softeners, UV, etc.).
Pre-filtration of well, borehole, rain, or municipal water.
Agricultural or industrial installations.
Rainwater treatment.
