Main component: polished and activated recycled glass.
Origin: post-consumer glass (bottles, windows, etc.) processed into calibrated grains.
Appearance: translucent to greenish, angular, and very smooth grains.
Bulk density: approximately 1.2 to 1.4 g/cm³.
Grain size: 0.5 to 2.5 mm depending on application.

Filtration Properties

Glass media acts as a mechanical and physico-chemical filter, capturing fine particles and reducing biofilm formation.
It provides clearer water than silica sand with lower head loss.
