Biological filtration saddle biochips

Biological filtration biochips are carriers specifically designed to enhance the growth of bacterial biofilms in water treatment systems. With their high specific surface area and porous structure, they enable the attachment of active biomass capable of degrading organic matter, oxidizing ammonia (NH₃) into nitrites and nitrates, and contributing to nutrient removal.
These biochips provide high efficiency in nitrification and denitrification, reduce the pollutant load of effluents, and ensure improved water quality. Compact, durable, and resistant to clogging, they are widely used in wastewater treatment plants as well as in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
