Operating Principle
The detector uses two stainless-steel electrodes operating on a resistive detection principle. When a conductive liquid comes into contact with the electrodes, the electrical resistance changes. This variation is detected by a compatible monitoring relay (ES2001 or ES5000), which can trigger an alarm or a safety action.
The integrated 680 kΩ resistor allows continuous line monitoring when used with the ES5000 relay, enabling detection of:
- Water leakage
- Cable break
- Short circuit on the detection loop
