The Waterco Multicyclone Plus is an advanced pre-filtration unit combining a hydrocyclone and a cartridge filter in a single compact system. Designed to enhance water filtration efficiency, it uses centrifugal force to separate up to 80% of suspended particles before they reach the cartridge. This results in reduced filter maintenance, improved hydraulic performance, and significant savings in water and energy. Ideal for residential and commercial pools, the Multicyclone Plus extends cartridge life and ensures cleaner water for longer periods.
The Waterco Multicyclone Plus is a compact and innovative pre-filtration system that combines a centrifugal separator (hydrocyclone) with an integrated cartridge filter. It is engineered to deliver highly efficient, energy-saving water filtration for both residential and commercial pools.
Water enters tangentially into the hydrocyclonic chamber, generating a powerful rotational motion. This centrifugal force separates up to 80% of suspended solids (sand, leaves, fine debris) before they reach the cartridge filter. These particles collect in a transparent sediment chamber, which is easy to drain, minimizing the need for cartridge cleaning.
Dual-stage filtration: cyclone separation + cartridge filtration
Reduced maintenance: cartridge stays cleaner for longer
Water & energy saving: less cleaning, better hydraulic performance
Compact footprint: space-saving design, ideal for equipment rooms
Durable build: corrosion- and chemical-resistant materials
Residential and commercial pools
Spas and wellness facilities
Aquaculture and irrigation systems
Any setup requiring fine filtration with low maintenance
Models | Reference | Name | Hydrocyclones | Flowrate minimum | Flowrate maximum | Fitting |
1 | AW200380 | Multicyclone 12 | 12 | 2.4 m3/h | 9m3/h | 1½"/50 mm |

Hydrocyclones, like Waterco’s Multicyclone, are commonly used in swimming pools, treatment plants, irrigation systems, and aquaculture to reduce the load on main filters.
