The combination of ozone and UV-C action provides a particularly effective and safe germicidal effect. The ozone produced is injected through a supplied Venturi. Air is drawn into the space between the UV-C lamp and the quartz sleeve. The UV-C lamp generates 254 nm and 185 nm radiation. The 185 nm radiation converts the available oxygen into ozone. The ozone produced (max. 0.6 g/h) is mixed with water through the Venturi to carry out its disinfection and oxidation work. Inside the UV-C housing, the residual ozone is converted by the 254 nm UV-C radiation into OH radicals (advanced oxidation).
AQUACULTURE FRANCE completes its range of UV sterilizers with this model specially adapted for aquaculture and aquariums.
Our sterilizers contain no metal parts. They are therefore perfectly suited for treating corrosive waters such as seawater.
