Venturi injector aquaculture france

Venturi Injector for Aquaculture

The Venturi injector is a simple, robust device with no moving parts, designed for efficient gas or liquid injection into water systems. By using the Venturi effect, water flowing through a constricted section creates a vacuum that automatically draws in air, pure oxygen, ozone, or other compatible fluids.

Its optimized internal design generates intense turbulence, ensuring rapid and homogeneous mixing between water and the injected gas. This technology is particularly suitable for intensive aquaculture systems, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), oxygenation stations, and water treatment applications.

Applications

  • Fish farming pond oxygenation
  • Pure oxygen injection
  • Water ozonation
  • Degassing and water treatment
  • RAS facilities
  • Public and private aquariums

Benefits

  • No moving parts
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • High gas-to-water transfer efficiency
  • Easy installation
  • Corrosion-resistant materials
  • Reliable continuous operation

When a sufficient pressure differential exists between the inlet and outlet, a vacuum is created inside the injector body, allowing the suction of gases or liquids. The turbulent flow, enhanced by internal vanes within the injector body, ensures immediate and efficient mixing of the two fluids.

Manufactured from PVDF, the injector is highly durable, corrosion-resistant, and unaffected by UV radiation or ozone exposure. It is supplied complete with an integrated non-return check valve.

Operating Principle

As water flows through the Venturi throat at high velocity, pressure drops and creates a vacuum effect.

The gas is drawn into the water stream as fine bubbles, promoting:

  • Rapid oxygen dissolution
  • Improved gas mixing
  • Increased transfer efficiency
  • Reduced gas losses

Benefits

  • No moving mechanical parts
  • Minimal maintenance
  • Excellent reliability
  • High oxygen transfer efficiency
  • Compatible with air, pure oxygen, and ozone
  • Easy installation
  • Low operating costs
  • Suitable for freshwater and seawater

Applications

  • Intensive fish farming
  • Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS)
  • Pond oxygenation
  • Pure oxygen injection
  • Ozonation systems
  • CO₂ degassing
  • Public aquariums
  • Hatcheries and nurseries
