Multistage Propeller Pump

A multistage propeller pump is a specific type of pump designed to combine the high flow rate of propeller pumps with the ability to generate higher pressure, thanks to a multistage (or multicellular) configuration.

Working Principle

  • A propeller pump moves fluid using rotating blades, generating axial flow (fluid moves parallel to the shaft).

  • In the multistage version, several propeller stages are installed in series within the same pump body.

  • Each stage adds a small increase in pressure, allowing the system to reach a higher total head than a single-stage pump.
